This June, the Washington State Psychological Association (WSPA) celebrates our LGBTQIA2S+ community!
WSPA is proud to represent LGBTQIA2S+ psychologists, researchers, students, and allies who bring their expertise and lived experience to this work every day. Our intersectional identities bring the diversity of perspectives that make our profession stronger. Psychology plays a real and urgent role in supporting and affirming LGBTQIA2S+ community members through our research, practice, and advocacy. Now more than ever our support, our voices, and our visibility matter.
WSPA will continue to advocate for provision of gender affirming care and denounce harmful and discriminatory practices such as conversion therapy, that are not science-based.
We are proud to stand with our queer and trans colleagues, clients, and communities every month of the year, and especially when the stakes are high.
To every LGBTQIA2S+ psychologist, student, and advocate in our membership: thank you for being a part of this organization! We are better together.
