WSPA is striving to do more to honor the historical and current contributions of Black Psychologists and educate ourselves and our communities. We know we have a long way to go. As we learn to do that, we want to encourage you to take the time to educate yourself, and to more fully recognize the necessity of racial diversity in Psychology. We strive to recognize our own biases, untangle the complexities of systemic oppression, build genuine and honest relationships across races, and together find ways to dismantle systemic racism. Much too often in history, Black Americans‘ contributions and triumphs are suppressed, silenced, or forgotten.
